0. Authentication
All authentication in this app is handled through third-party sign-in providers, such as Google Sign-In and, where supported, Sign in with Apple.
The App does not provide or support local username/password account creation. However, when you sign in, an app-level profile may be created so that we can store your learning progress and settings.
1. Overview
TruckTalk Pro (“the App”) is developed and maintained by Potential Development Association (“PDA”), a nonprofit educational organization. Certain training materials are provided in partnership with J&S Reliance Driving School and other industry partners.
The App is designed for educational purposes only, to help users—especially commercial drivers and CDL trainees—improve their English communication skills in real-world driving and work scenarios.
2. Disclaimer
The questions, dialogues, scenarios, explanations, and reference materials in the App are for practice and self-assessment only. They:
- Do not represent official DMV, government, or licensing exam content;
- Do not constitute legal, employment, immigration, or safety advice; and
- Are supplemental learning tools, not a replacement for official training, handbooks, or professional instruction.
PDA and J&S Reliance Driving School are not liable for: Any exam results, licensing decisions, or employment decisions; any accidents, citations, or other consequences arising from how you drive or work.
You are responsible for following all applicable laws, regulations, and employer policies.
3. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
Material changes require appropriate notice and any required acceptance before they apply. Separate data-processing choices are not replaced by general acceptance of service terms.
4. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all App content—including questions, scenarios, prompts, UI/UX design, branding, workflows, and instructional logic—is the intellectual property of PDA. CDL and driving-school curriculum content remains the academic property of J&S Reliance Driving School and is used under partnership agreements.
You may not copy, record, scrape, or redistribute App content for commercial use; reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract question banks, datasets, or internal logic; or use the App to build a competing product without prior written permission from PDA.
5. Pricing, Trials, and Payments
5.1 Free access
Available free content and promotions are identified in the App. An offer explains its eligibility, included service, and any period before you accept it. Changes to future promotions do not silently reduce a benefit already granted under an accepted offer.
5.2 Base Membership
The existing U.S. Base price remains US$39.99 per month for the included courses, course practice, and course AI while membership is active. It is an auto-renewing monthly subscription, not a lifetime purchase. Purchases use the Apple App Store or Google Play. The store displays the applicable local price, currency, taxes, and billing period before payment. Any separately offered enhanced service does not remove existing course benefits.
5.3 Cancellation and refunds
Manage renewal in the store that bills you. Canceling normally preserves access until the paid period ends but does not automatically refund the current charge. Signing out, uninstalling, or deleting an app account does not itself cancel store renewal. Refund eligibility follows applicable law, store rules, and the published product policy. Use Apple’s refund process or Google Play’s refund process, or contact PDA for available assistance. PDA investigates incorrect deductions and undelivered services even when a store processes returned money.
6. Screenshot and Anti-Abuse Rules
To protect educational content and partner materials, PDA may implement screenshot detection and anti-abuse mechanisms. By using the App, you agree that:
- Content is for your personal study only.
- Automated scraping, large-scale screen recording, or other bulk copying is strictly prohibited.
- Reasonable security concerns may lead to proportionate protective action, with a way to contest a mistake.
These rules do not prohibit honest reviews, lawful complaints, or keeping appropriate records of your own purchases and support communications. Do not expose another person’s private information. Support, replacement practice, and refunds are not conditioned on positive reviews or removing criticism.
7. Usage Rules and Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use the App for an illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purpose; harass, threaten, or abuse another person; interfere with the App’s servers, networks, or infrastructure; or use the App to generate or distribute hate speech or harmful material.
8. Language and Localization
The App currently supports 12 languages in the user interface and key learning content: English, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese (Simplified), Hindi, Korean, Urdu, Vietnamese, and Filipino.
English is the source text. Translations help explain it and must match the applicable document version. Mandatory local-language and consumer protections remain unaffected.
9. Privacy and Data Usage (Summary)
9.1 What we may collect
Account info (Google/Apple), usage data (quiz attempts and actions), diagnostic data (crash logs), and optional audio recordings for practice features.
9.2 How we use data
To provide core features, track progress, fix bugs, and prevent abuse. We do not sell personal data.
9.3 Processing and disclosure
The App Terms & Privacy Policy explains data handling and relevant service providers. A new feature does not authorize additional collection before its required disclosures and choices are in place.
9.4 Data retention and deletion
You may request access, correction, available export, or deletion through our privacy request instructions. Stopping a subscription is not a deletion request. Retention must follow the applicable purposes and disclosed schedule, not a promise of perpetual storage.
10. Advertisements and Third-Party Content
The App may display advertisements, job postings, or training offers from third-party partners. PDA does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of third-party advertisements. You should independently evaluate job offers and training providers.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided on an “as is” basis. PDA and its partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the App.
Nothing in these limitations removes mandatory consumer rights or applicable obligations concerning incorrect deductions and undelivered paid services.
12. Termination
PDA may take proportionate action for material misuse or to protect the service, with an explanation and review route where appropriate. Ordinary use within a purchased offer, a low assessment score, or an honest complaint is not, by itself, misuse.
Suspension, termination, or discontinuation does not remove applicable consumer rights or obligations concerning undelivered paid services. We provide appropriate notice and a reasonable fulfillment alternative or applicable refund remedy when we cannot provide paid unused services.
13. Account Closure, Learning Reports, and Deletion
Request deletion in Settings → Account → Delete Account, or email support@pdaus.org with the subject “TruckTalk Pro account deletion.” You do not need to reinstall the App, buy more services, or give up a lawful refund request. We may verify account control; do not send complete license numbers or payment-card details by ordinary email.
13.1 Learner identification
TruckTalk Pro assigns a unique learner number when a formal learning record is established. This number helps associate course progress, Coach assessments, and learning reports with the correct app account.
Signing out or canceling subscription renewal does not create a new learner record. Using a different Apple or Google sign-in account may require verified account linking. Matching names, email addresses, or license details alone does not automatically merge accounts. A learner number identifies a record but is not, by itself, proof of entitlement to access it.
13.2 Learning Progress Reports
Before closing your account, you will have an opportunity to download or print an available Learning Progress Report, or request secure delivery to a verified email address.
The report may include your name, learner number, a masked license identifier where applicable, subjects practiced, recorded learning time, completion information, assessment results, and progress summaries. Information is included only where it has been recorded and can be supported by the available learning record.
Assessment results describe performance within TruckTalk Pro under the identified assessment standards. They are not an official language qualification, driver’s-license certification, or guarantee of passing a government, roadside, or employment assessment.
13.3 Optional 90-Day Report Retrieval Service
During account closure, you may separately authorize our free report-retrieval service. If authorized, we retain a protected copy of your available Learning Progress Report for 90 calendar days from the account-closure confirmation date. The confirmation states the retrieval deadline.
The period applies whether or not you print, download, or request an emailed copy, unless you request earlier deletion. Requesting or receiving a copy does not restart or extend the period. The service does not preserve access to courses, Coach practice, or other paid features, and you do not need another subscription or a new app account to request the retained report.
13.4 Requesting a Report After Account Closure
Within the retrieval period, email support@pdaus.org with the subject “TruckTalk Pro Learning Report Request.” Include your learner number or retrieval reference if available.
We verify entitlement before releasing the record. Verification may use a previously verified contact method, retrieval credentials, or other proportionate checks. A new email address alone is insufficient to establish ownership of an earlier learning record and is not a condition of requesting account deletion. Once verification is complete, we can provide an electronic copy suitable for personal storage and printing. Do not send your complete driver’s-license number in ordinary email.
13.5 Expiration and Personal Copies
At the end of the 90-day period, the retained report is automatically removed from active report-retrieval systems and is no longer available through the standard retrieval service. Please obtain and securely save any copy you wish to keep before the stated deadline.
We provide advance reminders through available verified contact channels, but the deadline does not depend on successful delivery of a reminder. Copies you download, print, or receive remain under your control. The service deadline does not limit rights available under applicable privacy law.
13.6 Account Deletion and Purchased Services
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data without retaining a report, or request earlier deletion of a retained report. A deletion request is not automatically converted into authorization for the 90-day service.
Canceling subscription renewal is different from closing or deleting an account. Canceling Base Membership alone does not erase unused separately purchased services, including Coach sessions where offered. Any effect of account closure on unused purchased services is explained before confirmation and remains subject to applicable law and store policies.
Closing or deleting your app account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; manage renewal through the store that bills you. Read the Learning Report retention notice for the limited information kept for this optional service.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which PDA is organized in the United States, unless another jurisdiction is required by consumer-protection law.
